Safety Issues

Working together for what matters most

From preventing individual injuries to protecting the environment, we’re helping member companies with these important issues.

The Health, Safety, and Environmental Committee (HSEC) is the technical advisory group of the AESC on Accident Prevention and Environmental Affairs. The HSEC, working with educational institutions and continuing education agencies, prepare and promote all audio-visual, educational, and safety/environmental related training materials produced by the Association, ensuring that films are of the type and quality that will be most useful in the member's accident prevention and environmental efforts.

More about the committee
The committee studies and prepares plans and procedures for contests and awards such as the Annual Safety Awards program. The HSEC also provides interpretive expertise on various governmental regulations and safe work practices that affect the industry, such as OSHA, EPA, and state environmental agencies. The HSEC brings together contractors, producers, manufacturers, and other companies and associations to develop and present the most effective programs within the industry.
